...And then Alice went to Malibu.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a line in Alice in Wonderland that stated: "And then Alice went to Malibu." Yeah, that's what I think, too.

Anyway, I went to Malibu yesterday with my new rad roommate, Tiffani. I had crazy amount of work to do during the evening, but out of the blue, we bit the bullet as we were walking out of church. I said, "Malibu is 45 minutes away...wanna go? I've never been." And since Tiffani is awesome, she said, without any hesitation, "Of course, why not? It's a ridiculously beautiful day." So we did.

We got there at Sunset and it was kind of like being granted permission to heaven as a visitor.

I wasn't expecting that.

Malibu is incredibly low-key and deceptively decadent. Very cool. It was a fun adventure. What's even funner (yep) is that I never remember to put towels in my car EVER, or really, any sort of helpful supply. So when we walked the beach, we honestly had NO place to wash our feet before getting back inside my dream-mobile (ok, not really). So we were both church-clothed and sandy-footed.

Oh well, it wouldn't have been as legitimate if we didn't bring back some REAL Malibu sand on our tootsies.

Annnnnnd we're off,
Nibby

PS) When I was a kid, I thought that Malibu didn't exist. I thought it was a part of the Barbie dream world. Same thing with Daytona Beach and Kokomo. Go figure.
